Qumin Ltd ("Qumin", "we", "us", "our") is a marketing agency helping brands grow in the Chinese and global markets, with offices in London, Shanghai and Dubai. We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, the legal bases we rely on, and the rights you have. It applies to our websites (including qumin.com), our marketing activities, and our dealings with clients, prospects and partners.

1. The personal data we collect

  • Contact & business data — name, job title, employer, business email, business phone, and the content of your enquiries, when you contact us, fill in a form (including a LinkedIn Lead Gen form), download a resource, or engage with our marketing.
  • Marketing & engagement data — how you interact with our emails, ads and website (e.g. opens, clicks, pages viewed), and information you provide when you respond to our campaigns.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and cookie identifiers collected automatically when you visit our website (see section 6).
  • Client & supplier data — information necessary to deliver our services and manage our relationships with client and supplier contacts.

We do not intentionally collect special-category (sensitive) personal data through our marketing activities.

2. How and why we use your data

We use your personal data to:

  • respond to your enquiries and provide our services;
  • send you marketing communications about our services where you have consented or where we have a legitimate interest, and manage your marketing preferences;
  • identify organisations that may benefit from our services and conduct business-to-business outreach to relevant professional contacts;

  • manage our client and supplier relationships and meet our contractual obligations; and

We rely on the following legal bases under the UK/EU GDPR:

  • Legitimate interests — for business-to-business marketing and outreach to professional contacts, and for analysing and improving our website and campaigns, balanced against your rights and interests;

  • Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law.

4. Marketing & advertising

We run advertising and lead-generation campaigns on third-party platforms, including LinkedIn. When you submit a LinkedIn Lead Gen form or engage with our LinkedIn ads, LinkedIn may share your submitted information with us so we can respond and follow up. Those platforms process your data under their own privacy policies. You can opt out of our marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by emailing [email protected].

5. Sharing your data

We share personal data only where necessary with:

  • service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g. email, CRM, analytics, advertising, and IT hosting providers), under contracts that require them to protect your data;
  • advertising and marketing platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Google) as described above;
  • professional advisers, and regulators or authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

As a global agency with offices in London, Shanghai and Dubai, and using service providers based in various countries, we may transfer personal data outside the UK/EEA, including to China. Where we do, we put in place appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or EU Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing (including direct marketing), to data portability, and to withdraw consent.
